Local Council Bulky Waste Collections
Honest advice on the most cost-effective way to dispose of your bulky household items.
Honest Advice
Your Options, Explained
At Mad Movers, we believe in providing honest advice and helping customers find the most suitable and cost-effective solution.
If you’re a homeowner or tenant looking to dispose of a small number of bulky household items such as sofas, mattresses, fridges, freezers, washing machines or furniture, your local council may offer a collection service at a lower cost than a private waste carrier.
Council bulky waste collections are generally intended for domestic households only and are usually not available for businesses, landlords, letting agents, commercial premises, HMO operators or property clearance projects.
If you require a fast collection, a full house clearance, landlord clearance, commercial waste removal, or labour to remove items from inside a property, Mad Movers may be the better option.
Please Note: The council collection information and pricing shown on this page was correct at the time of our research. Collection services, accepted items, eligibility criteria and charges may change without notice. We recommend checking directly with your local council before making a booking.
We believe customers should have all the available options. If a council collection is the most cost-effective solution for your circumstances, we’re happy to point you in the right direction. If you need a faster collection, labour assistance, or a service for landlords, businesses, HMOs or property clearances, we’d be pleased to provide a free quote.
